Shinjuku is a route-building and pick-up-and-deliver game set around Tokyo’s busiest commercial district. Players establish shops in different neighborhoods, extend train lines between stations, and guide colored customers toward stores that match what they want to buy. Cards provide the actions and colors needed to expand a network or move passengers, so hand management determines which opportunities can be seized. A route that helps one player may also open access for everyone else, making timing and positioning as important as simple connectivity. Stores score by attracting the right customers and by participating in useful transport links, while opponents can redirect traffic or develop competing destinations. The board becomes an increasingly dense shared rail system in which every new connection changes the value of nearby businesses.
