Horrified: Dungeons & Dragons carries the accessible cooperative structure of Horrified into the streets and dungeons of Waterdeep. Players choose heroes inspired by D&D classes, each with a distinct power, then work together to protect citizens while confronting a chosen combination of the Beholder, Displacer Beast, Mimic, and Red Dragon. Every monster is its own puzzle: the party gathers colored items, moves through connected locations, and completes thematic steps before making the final defeat. Monster cards keep the pressure rising, and attacks may invoke the included d20 for a burst of role-playing-game uncertainty. The challenge is shared rather than individual, so efficient movement, timely item exchanges, and clear plans matter more than personal glory. Adjustable monster combinations change the difficulty and tactical demands, making this a welcoming family game with enough variety for groups who enjoy planning together.
