Magic Number Eleven is a head-to-head football tactics game in which each player coaches a team through two halves. On a turn, a player adds a footballer to the pitch so the semicircular icons on adjacent cards combine into attack, defence, passing, or pressing formations. Those icons determine which actions become available, while synergy cards reward carefully planned connections between teammates. The central risk is beautifully sharp: an attack that totals exactly eleven creates an undefendable Wonder Goal, but exceeding eleven sends the chance wide. Each placement therefore develops both the current move and the shape of later attacks. After both halves, the coach with the most goals and points wins.
