The Isle of Cats Duel is a standalone two-player rescue puzzle built around movement, timing, and spatial planning. Rivals guide an Oshax cat around the island board; where it stops determines which cat, treasure, or lesson can be selected and also shapes the next player’s options. Fish fuel extra actions and tactical combinations, while the rescued polyomino cats must fit onto a personal boat with families kept together. Lessons introduce private scoring goals, treasures patch awkward spaces, and rats or uncovered rooms impose penalties. Because movement and access are shared, every selection has a defensive edge: taking the ideal tile can also strand an opponent far from what they need. The duel keeps the satisfying boat-filling puzzle of The Isle of Cats while replacing card drafting with a focused positional contest designed specifically for two.
