Tic Tac Trek is a two-player tile-laying duel about choosing where to make camp. Players take turns drawing or drafting numbered trail tiles from the bag and placing them into the shared play area. Whenever a placement completes three matching tiles in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line, the active player may place one of their campfire markers on the newly played tile. Completing a line matters, but it is only the first half of the puzzle: once every tile has been placed, each campfire scores one point for every empty space around it. Early camps can claim open wilderness, yet later tiles may crowd them; delayed camps can be safer but harder to create. The result is a fast abstract contest in which every tile shapes both players’ scoring landscape.
