King of Tokyo: Origins is a standalone, streamlined entry point to Richard Garfield’s monster-battling dice game. On each turn, roll six dice up to three times, keeping the results that fit your plan: claws attack, hearts heal, energy buys power cards, and matching numbers earn victory points. Occupying Tokyo accelerates scoring and lets attacks hit every monster outside the city, but the reigning creature cannot heal there. Four new monsters, fresh cards, and full compatibility with the wider King of Tokyo line give the compact box life beyond its introductory role. Reach twenty points or be the last monster standing to win.
