Happy Mochi is a compact shedding game built around an unruly hand you may not rearrange. Players take two adjacent cards to form a two-digit number, then cover the central pair while obeying its greater-than or less-than direction and, when required, its color condition. Card effects flip the direction, pass cards, create reserves, or force draws. A pair of equal numbers is a Happy Mochi that ignores both restrictions, providing the escape hatch that can turn a blocked hand into a sudden finish.
