Read the full game description

For a Crown is a brisk game of shared-deck construction and courtly sabotage. Each noble family recruits a mercenary, slips the card into a transparent sleeve bearing its own crest, and places it face down into one common deck. When the deck is shuffled and revealed, every card helps its owner, changes influence, steals rubies, creates masked bandits, or unleashes an event on the entire court. Recruitment costs shift between rounds, making cheap cards arrive at exactly the wrong moment for an opponent. Rubies are both wealth and the final score, while coins, heirlooms, influence, and bandit penalties create public clues around private fortunes. Because everyone builds the same deck, each reveal produces anticipation even when another family’s card appears. Four compact rounds turn negotiation, timing, luck, and gleeful take-that effects into an accessible contest for the throne.
