Cross Bronx Expressway is a historical strategy game about the forces that reshaped New York’s Bronx after World War II. Players guide asymmetric factions through planning, construction, housing, and community response as the expressway advances. An action queue and event system create difficult timing decisions, while shared consequences make the contest partly cooperative without erasing faction goals. Sudden-death pressures and direct political interference keep every plan vulnerable. The result is an unusually grounded urban simulation in which infrastructure creates opportunity for some, displacement for others, and a legacy no single player can control alone.
