A Wayfarer’s Tale: The Journey Begins is a roll-and-write journey in which every player explores a different personal map at the same time. Shared dice activate terrain and companions, but each wayfarer chooses an independent route between towns, treasures, statues, and lurking monsters. Connections must respect the geography of the hex map, making each line a commitment as well as an opportunity. Companions add variable powers and alternate scoring angles, while the race to the final town keeps all maps moving toward a decisive finish. Points reward discovered towns, treasure, encounters, and the breadth of the completed expedition.
