1 A.M. Jailbreak is a compact ladder-climbing card game about escaping before the other prisoners. Players take turns playing a higher single card or a same-number set that contains more cards than the previous play. Passing can preserve a useful combination, but the last player to make a legal play controls the next lead. Simple comparisons create sharp timing decisions as players read dwindling hands, break apart sets, and choose when to seize control of the table.
