La Cuenta is a compact party card game about enjoying a shared meal while making sure somebody else pays. Players add tapas cards to the table, follow matching restrictions, collect useful combinations, and use special effects to redirect pressure around the group. The running bill grows as the round continues, making every extra order both an opportunity and a risk. Matching sets can get cards out of your hand, but a badly timed play may leave you holding the account when the music stops. Catch-the-leader and take-that effects keep everyone involved, while the small hand and short turn structure make the game easy to join. Rounds finish quickly, allowing grudges, lucky escapes, and improbable combinations to become the story of the evening. Its multilingual second edition supports English, Spanish, and French play in the same portable box.
