Fast Forward: FORTRESS is a card game designed to begin without a rulebook. Its ninety-card deck is presorted so the first cards teach the opening choices and later cards introduce new effects as the group plays. Each turn asks you to draw from the evolving deck or secretly commit sets of cards to attack and defend the fortresses in play. Three hourglass cards create natural checkpoints, and a full discovery arc lasts roughly a dozen short games. Bluffing, hand management, and push-your-luck timing grow richer as unfamiliar cards appear. After the group reaches the end, the numbered deck can be restored to its original order and discovered again.
