YRO is a simultaneous card-driven tableau builder about turning a handful of adventurers into the realm’s most celebrated guild. Each round begins with five cards, from which players may recruit up to two characters into a personal 3×3 grid. Position matters: combat values in the front row determine who wins glory, while three characters sharing a faction or profession across a line unlock an additional combination reward. Other icons generate gold for future recruits, advance magic and technology tracks, or score victory points directly. Because everyone resolves the same six phases together, the game remains quick from solo play through five players. Optional drafting adds more control over the opening hand, eight quest cards reshape priorities, and the compact grid makes every placement permanent and consequential. The result is an approachable twenty-to-thirty-minute engine builder with a cheerful fantasy cast, readable interaction, and satisfying chains of small bonuses.
