Fearless is a compact trick-taking game with four suits, no trump suit, and card values running from +6 through -6. Players must follow the led suit, and the highest card of that suit wins the trick, but collecting the most tricks is not the goal. Positive and negative cards offset one another, so the best round ends with a total close to zero rather than a large haul. Zero cards and the distribution of extreme values make each lead and follow decision a question of timing: take a useful counterweight now, or preserve it to correct a dangerous score later. After several rounds, the player who has accumulated the least fear wins.
