Brilliant is a simultaneous roll-and-write game built around pairs of twelve-sided dice. Each round, everyone writes one rolled number next to an existing instance of the other, gradually extending paths through colored areas with different placement restrictions. Completing areas early earns the strongest bonuses, but overcommitting can leave awkward gaps. Four included difficulty levels preserve the same clean core while adding new constraints, and solo through six-player games move at the same brisk pace.
