Read the full game description

Beyond the Horizon is a civilization game driven by a shared technology tree and an expanding landscape. Each society begins small, with limited population and production, then uses its turn to research, develop, produce, explore, enlist, move, settle, or fortify. Technologies unlock stronger actions and define the direction of the whole table, while the modular map rewards timely expansion with villages, cities, resources, and area influence. Personal economy and culture tracks determine what a society can sustain, so growth requires balancing population, income, military reach, and technological ambition. Three public goals provide a visible race and eventually trigger the end; after the current round, players receive one final round to turn their engine into points. Scoring comes from learned technologies, explored and settled land, fortified cities, development tracks, and goal achievements. It carries the open tech-tree tension of Beyond the Sun into a historical setting with more spatial play and a clearer connection between discovery, production, and territory.
