Wings for the Baron (Second Edition) puts players in charge of rival German aircraft manufacturers during the final years of World War I. Each round, companies secretly choose actions to build factories, research technology, design improved aircraft, spy on competitors, or convert fragile paper marks into gold. Efficient designs compete for military contracts while Allied technology, war morale, random events, and relentless inflation reshape the market. The standard game focuses on fighters; the campaign rules add bomber and reconnaissance development. When the war ends, the company that preserved the greatest total wealth wins.
