We Are Coming, Nineveh is an accessible tactical-operational wargame about the Iraqi government campaign to liberate West Mosul from Daesh in 2017. Hidden wooden blocks and area movement recreate uncertainty across the city, while both sides add assets, spring events, and exploit the dense Old City terrain. Victory is deliberately multidimensional: capturing ground quickly can still be a strategic failure if Iraqi security-force casualties or collateral damage become too high. A dedicated solitaire system lets one player command the Iraqi side against an automated opponent, and the compact rules support repeated exploration of a difficult modern urban battle.
