Warhammer 40,000: Heroes of Black Reach brings the Heroes System to a fast two-player clash between the Ultramarines and Orks. Square terrain boards and thick unit counters replace a miniatures setup while preserving line of sight, cover, vehicles, equipment, psychic powers, and varied troop abilities. Each round begins with players secretly assigning numbered order tokens—including a bluff—to units, then alternating activations as the sequence is revealed. Movement, fire, assault, defense values, dice, and action cards combine to make every activation tactically significant. Eight linked scenarios introduce the armies and then develop into a broader campaign, so a short introductory fight can grow into a two-hour objective battle without requiring assembly or painting.
