Tonari is a compact abstract strategy game about the fishing village of Kuchinoshima. Players take turns moving one shared boat to an adjacent occupied space, collect the fish or skill token there, and permanently change the routes available to everyone. With three or four players, each score is paired with a neighbor’s total, so helping the right person can matter as much as improving your own catch. Simple movement rules create a shrinking network of tactical choices, temporary abilities, and unusual shared incentives.
