The Planet King places one or two players at the head of the Spanish Monarchy during the long reign of Philip IV. Economic, military, political, and diplomatic actions must hold together an empire strained by wars, court factions, colonies, nobles, ambassadors, fleets, and the famous Tercios. Turns represent several years, and scenarios range from an introductory game to extended campaigns. The monarchy can collapse before scoring if Prestige or Enlightenment falls too far, or if the King’s happiness reaches zero.
