Song of Blades and Heroes: Revised Edition is a miniature-agnostic fantasy skirmish ruleset built for small warbands and fast resolution. Players can use any collection of figures, assigning each model a compact Quality and Combat profile plus special abilities drawn from a large roster. On activation, a player chooses one, two, or three dice: every success grants an action, but two failures immediately hand the turn to the opponent. That push-your-luck decision drives movement, ranged attacks, magic, and opposed combat without dense record keeping. The revised book includes more than 180 ready-to-use profiles, warband construction, six scenarios, and campaign rules. Measurement sticks or a hex grid both work, making the system easy to adapt to whatever terrain and miniatures are already available.
