Purple Haze is a narrative tactical campaign wargame set in Vietnam in 1967. Players guide a squad of U.S. Marines through jungle, rice paddies, villages, and fortified positions while a chit-pull system and event-driven story keep every mission uncertain. Area movement, dice-based combat, and consequential choices connect individual encounters into a longer tour of duty. The campaign supports solo and cooperative play, with the squad’s condition and earlier decisions shaping what follows. Its emphasis is as much on survival and the human cost of the patrol as on completing objectives.
