The Last of Us: Escape the Dark adapts Themeborne’s narrative adventure system to the post-pandemic world of The Last of Us. One to five players begin in a quarantine zone and plot a route toward the reputed safety of Jackson. Each location reveals illustrated Chapter cards with choices, hazards, discoveries, and hostile encounters. Survivors roll character dice, equip weapons and useful items, share scarce resources, and decide when a dangerous detour is worth the risk. Hunters, FEDRA agents, and the Infected can quickly turn an imperfect plan into a desperate fight, so the group must coordinate every decision and keep all survivors alive to complete the journey.
