Read the full game description

Lata is a compact economic game about Portugal’s mid-century fish-canning industry. Across six rounds, each player manages a factory that turns sardines or mackerel, olive oil, and tomato into finished cans for export. At the start of a round, players secretly bid action capacity: giving up more actions earns earlier access to the best raw-material lot, while keeping more actions creates greater production potential later. This tradeoff shapes every turn. Acquired ingredients must match factory capacity, finished goods must reach compatible markets, and sale income funds both production upgrades and scoring contracts. Market influence and end-game bonuses reward planning beyond immediate cash. The solo mode preserves the allocation puzzle, while two to four players add sharper competition over lots, action order, and export opportunities. Lata is the second title in the Quinas Collection and pairs a small footprint with a tightly linked production chain, clear iconography, and Marina Costa’s period-inspired illustration.
