Kathmandu sends each player on a race through a modular landscape toward Nepal’s capital. Every round, dice determine how far your yak can travel and which expedition actions you can strengthen. Along the route you sketch animals, gather maps, trade resources in cities, visit temples, and make offerings, trying to complete set goals without wasting precious time. Variable terrain boards and optional character and tent modules change the route, while the approaching storm rewards efficient planning over simple speed.
