Read the full game description

Il Principe is a Renaissance strategy game in which every auction reshapes both the buildings players can construct and the political roles they may control. Each round brings income and new building cards, but players must contribute cards to shared color-grouped auctions before bidding begins. Winning cards expands a private tableau; cashing in the right mix allows a city to be built, placing influence on the Italian map and awarding points not only to the builder but also to rivals who currently hold related court roles. Those roles are themselves contested through the visible color totals in each tableau and can grant privileges or end-game value. The result is a tightly connected economy: a card can strengthen a set, inflate an auction, enable a city, threaten a role, or score someone else. Timing, valuation, and reading which colors matter to every opponent are more important than simply collecting the largest pile.
