First Giants casts players as rival paleontologists assembling museum-worthy dinosaur collections. On a turn, markers and an open card display determine which fossils are available to acquire. Newly collected cards strengthen your personal engine with useful powers, encouraging combinations across species and eras. Eventually those same cards can be committed to exhibitions for victory points, but exhibiting a fossil means surrendering the ability that helped build your engine. Amber and newspaper tokens add tactical opportunities, while the timing of each exhibit creates the central tension: score now or keep a powerful card working a little longer. The result is a compact drafting and set-collection game with a satisfying arc from discovery to display.
