Epona is a strategic horse-breeding game in which players develop a stable, acquire and train horses, and match them with owners whose preferences reward particular traits and combinations. Cards serve several purposes, creating tight hand-management choices between immediate progress and stronger scoring patterns. The game includes solo play and scales to six, with variable setup and an I-cut-you-choose structure keeping the available horses and opportunities contested.
