Distant Suns is a compact map-drawing game about exploring an uncharted galaxy. On each turn, the active player chooses one polyomino shape for their own map and assigns another to every rival, creating a constant tension between opportunity and obstruction. Players arrange those shapes among planets, aliens, upgrades, treasure, and black holes across three rounds, scoring discoveries while trying to avoid costly spatial mistakes. The same shared choices produce very different personal star maps.
