Compania is an industrial strategy game set in a fantasy city suspended among the clouds. Each company assigns worker dice face down to action areas, then reveals them together; the strongest commitment claims the opportunity, while an overbid can leave precious labor idle. Successful workers acquire land, construct buildings, expand factories, research efficiencies, and connect holdings with airships that move goods through the economy. Because dice are chosen rather than rolled, the tension comes from reading rivals and deciding how much strength an action is truly worth. Investments and company development create compounding income, but cash spent too eagerly can make the next round’s auctions harder to contest. A solo system preserves the optimization puzzle, while up to six human companies turn each reveal into a lively contest of ambition and restraint.
