Aspens is a two-player strategy game about competing tree species spreading through a shared forest. The sun die determines which occupied spaces generate new trees for both players, while the wind die controls the directions in which seeds can travel. Growing upward strengthens the engine that supplies future turns; expanding outward claims the territory that decides the game. That tension gives a short ruleset a sharp positional contest, with every roll creating opportunities for both sides.
