Witchdom is a card-driven clan-building game in which players recruit sorceresses, gather magical resources, acquire recipes and items, and train new initiates. Cards can serve several purposes, so using one opportunity often means giving up another route to a needed ingredient or apprentice. Passing an apprentice’s final exam requires assembling the right potion at the right time, rewarding efficient hand management and a flexible engine. The approachable deck-building structure supports competitive play for up to five as well as a dedicated solo challenge.
