Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team – Octarius is the launch box for the 2021 edition of Games Workshop’s skirmish system. It pairs a Veteran Guardsmen team from the Death Korps of Krieg with Ork Kommandos and surrounds them with a complete ramshackle killzone. Instead of moving an army as blocks, players alternate activating individual operatives to move, dash, shoot, fight, perform mission actions, and secure objectives. Conceal and Engage orders make visibility and positioning essential, while action-point limits force trade-offs between attacking, advancing, and scoring. The box includes the core rules, Octarius missions and team rules, cards, tokens, gauges, dice, board, barricades, and substantial multipart terrain. Assembly and painting are a meaningful part of the product. This is a deep, highly interactive two-player system; the included 2021 rules are a distinct historical edition, while current official lite rules provide an accessible contemporary reference for the broader Kill Team system.
