Viva Catrina is an open-drafting tile game inspired by Día de los Muertos. Players add colorful village tiles to their personal display, connecting paths that bring visitors and butterflies toward useful destinations. Pedestals attract fantastical chimeras, while balloon tiles create special opportunities and rewards. Each placement changes the shape and reach of the network, so a locally attractive tile may be less valuable than one that keeps several routes alive. Shared drafting creates a gentle race for the chimeras, symbols, and path configurations each village needs. The result is approachable family play with satisfying spatial planning, tactical timing, and a vibrant table presence across two to six players.
