The Quacks of Quedlinburg: The Duel reshapes Wolfgang Warsch’s bag-building favorite into a purpose-built contest for two. Patients wait between rival market stalls, and each quack is trying to bring six of them home before seven rounds end. On a turn, draw chips from your personal bag into the neck of a bottle. Colored ingredients trigger immediate effects: they can advance patients, improve later draws, earn purchasing power, or interfere with the rival’s plans. White chips push the potion toward an explosion, so every pull asks whether the next reward is worth the risk. At the end of a round, earned coins buy new ingredients and upgrades that steadily tune the bag. A shared fountain, coin bonuses, ingredient books, and the patient track make every decision visible and directly consequential for both players. It keeps the tactile suspense and escalating engine of Quacks while replacing multiplayer simultaneity with a brisk back-and-forth duel.
