Read the full game description

The Dark Summer: Normandy 1944 is an operational wargame covering the campaign from D-Day through the closing of the Falaise gap. Its central chit-pull system determines both when each side acts and what kind of action becomes available, creating uncertainty without removing strategic responsibility. Weather changes Allied air and shipping effectiveness and also governs German reaction opportunities. Across a single map and ten turns, players manage landings, reinforcements, strongpoints, artillery, naval support, bombing, Cherbourg, and the breakout from the bocage. Moderate complexity and a highly variable activation sequence make it suitable for two-player competition or solo study.
