Scales of Fate condenses social deduction into a tense head-to-head strategy duel. Both players secretly control two of the nine demigods on a shared renown track—possibly even overlapping on the same figure—then spend three ages moving every demigod, resolving quests, placing servants, and timing one-use god powers. Your own pair scores for the pattern of renown they create, but the opponent can earn a major deduction bonus by identifying them, so an efficient move is never automatically a safe move. Every action must advance a hidden agenda while remaining plausible for several others. The compact thirty-minute arc escalates cleanly from positioning to brinkmanship, and the final reveal rewards both careful arithmetic and the ability to recognize which pieces your opponent protected, sacrificed, or used as camouflage.
