Pondscape is a compact spatial card game about shaping a pond one carefully placed habitat at a time. Players draft and layer cards into a personal grid, covering parts of earlier cards while trying to preserve the water, plants, insects, and other features needed by their frogs. Each frog asks for a particular pattern or combination, so a placement that completes one habitat can quietly close a route needed by another. Hand management keeps the puzzle tactical: the useful card in front of you may be better saved, rotated into a new role, or committed now before the pond becomes crowded. The rules are approachable enough for families, but overlapping cards create a satisfying efficiency puzzle with little wasted space. Solo play turns the same system into a calm score chase, while multiplayer adds a shared draft and the pressure of watching useful pond pieces disappear.
