Pillars of Heracles is a civilization strategy game set in archaic Greece. Each player guides a city-state across the Mediterranean, using cards to advance around an action rondel, build an evolving deck, develop cities, trade resources, recruit forces, and project influence. Heroes, gods, monsters, and monuments add asymmetric powers without abandoning the historical contest for territory and prosperity. Multiple maps and solo rules support both competitive campaigns of expansion and a carefully scripted opponent.
