Palm Laboratory adapts the deck-transforming system of Palm Island into a portable science-fiction resource puzzle. You hold the deck in one hand, inspect its top two cards, and either take an action or cycle the front card to the back. Paid actions rotate, flip, or store cards, changing what each card produces and making resources available along the edge of the deck. A chosen Primary Goal sets the victory and defeat conditions, while Research and Experiment missions vary the optimization challenge. The English Portal Dragon edition uses durable plastic cards and packs the complete game into a small tin.
