Oddland is a compact tile-laying game about exploring an island whose flora and fauna are as strange as their names. On each of seven turns, a player adds a map card to the shared landscape, overlapping existing terrain where the placement rules allow, then marks the new card with one of their species tokens. Every species has its own scoring condition based on the surrounding habitat: broad deserts, connected territory, neighboring features, or other spatial patterns. Because everyone builds the same island, one well-placed card can improve several of your discoveries, borrow value from an opponent’s work, or quietly ruin a rival’s plan. After the final map card is placed, all documented species score and the most successful investigator wins.
