National Economy is a compact worker-placement card game about running businesses through the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Players hire workers, place them at businesses, construct new buildings, and manage the cash needed to meet an escalating wage bill. Buildings sold for emergency liquidity enter a shared workplace economy, expanding everyone’s options even as the labor market grows more expensive. After nine rounds, the value of buildings and cash determines the strongest enterprise. Its small deck and brisk turns create a sharp arc from hopeful expansion to difficult decisions about payroll, timing, and asset sales, with a dedicated solo mode included.
