Misfit Heroes is a competitive card-crafting tableau builder set in the mash-up realm of Absurdia. Before play, transparent Character cards are sleeved with Attribute cards to create a fresh deck of heroes such as vampire bankers or cyclops supermodels. Players recruit those combinations into a 4×4 tableau, trigger orthogonal chains, collect influence in three regions, and pursue public quests. Money, hand management, and spatial placement all matter, but the 6,724 possible hero combinations ensure that the combo puzzle changes every session.
