Masters of Crime: Shadows casts the group as planners of an ambitious art theft in Amsterdam. Players recruit specialists, inspect locations, examine documents, hack security systems, and solve puzzles while their decisions determine which cards, envelopes, and consequences enter the story. The physical case is tightly integrated with Google Maps, email, phone calls, and purpose-built websites, so an internet connection is essential. It is a cooperative, narrative mystery intended for one substantial playthrough, with the final heist reflecting the crew and risks chosen along the way.
