Life in Reterra is a tile-laying game about rebuilding civilization in a greener post-collapse world. Each player drafts and places square land tiles to form a four-by-four community, matching terrain where possible and preserving useful spaces for future growth. Gears printed on the landscape support buildings; completing their patterns lets a player add one of the available structures and apply its rule. Different building sets change incentives from game to game, while inhabitants, relics, terrain groups, energy, and unused spaces all contribute to final scoring. With open information, short turns, and no direct destruction, the challenge is to make each tile support both the immediate layout and the community’s scoring plan.
