Korea: The Forgotten War is the ninth Operational Combat Series game and covers the mobile first year of the Korean War at five miles per hex and half-week turns. One player commands North Korean, Chinese, and Soviet-supported forces while the other directs South Korean, United States, Commonwealth, and other United Nations formations. The system emphasizes supply points, headquarters, modes, reserves, transportation, air missions, naval entry, weather, initiative, and the operational tempo needed to exploit a breakthrough before logistics fail. Fifteen scenarios range from focused one-map operations to three-map campaigns, with units from battalion to army scale and victory tied to control lines running along the peninsula. The recommended 2014 second edition corrects errata and aligns the game with OCS 4.1a; Multi-Man Publishing’s current v2.0e game rules further clarify both editions.
