Kinfire Council is a competitive worker-placement game set in Din'Lux after the events of Kinfire Chronicles. Each player leads a council faction seeking influence over the rebuilding city. Workers with distinct specialties claim action spaces, gather resources, construct districts, recruit allies, and pursue public objectives, but the city also generates events that demand collective attention. Voting and prisoner’s-dilemma choices repeatedly ask players to cooperate against shared danger without surrendering their own political advantage. Variable faction powers encourage different routes through the economy, while changing events and opportunities keep the council from settling into a script. The tension lies in deciding when the city’s survival truly requires help and when an apparent act of civic duty can become leverage. It is an interactive, midweight strategy game where placement efficiency matters, but table negotiation and reading rival intentions can matter just as much.
