Read the full game description

Joyride: Survival of the Fastest is a tactical racing game where the quickest line often runs straight through another car. Each driver controls a vehicle with distinctive abilities and a dashboard that holds dice, gear, damage, and items. At the start of a round, lock useful dice or reroll for stronger movement, then resolve speed, steering, and special effects on an open hex-grid map. Checkpoints may be crossed from any direction, allowing inventive racing lines instead of a fixed lane. Higher gears move farther and act earlier, but speed makes tight corners and crowded spaces dangerous. Collisions can spin or shove rivals, while rockets, mines, oil slicks, nitro, and air strikes create sudden reversals. Damage permanently blocks dashboard spaces, forcing hard choices about which parts of the car can be sacrificed. The core box includes four cars, two locations, and multiple track layouts, supporting quick teaching races as well as deliberately chaotic competitive play.
